Snowed In...

Yikes! February flew by! I've been swamped with projects and countless activities but my husband and I got to slip away and spend some time in Europe  for Valentine's Day. Really impromptu but had a great time! We missed some of the snow fall on the East Coast, but before I could even blink an eye the snow was back...making me feel like I was in the Midwest again.

I'm hoping that our last major snow fall is behind us and that spring (not just the calendar date) is right around the corner. To combat the 'winter blues', this winter I took a self-challenge and tried to find ways to repurpose my summer items to make them more "winter accessible."

I found this skirt while thrifting over the summer and it was a great find, not just because it's polka dots but because of its versatility. You can do a ton of things with this skirt, but wanting to keep it simple on this cold snowy day, I paired it with a basic turtleneck and short boots.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the snow but I'm hoping that I can get to wear this skirt in warmer temperatures...here's to hoping the snow soon becomes a distant memory. Until next time! Happy Monday!
