Shar Styles | Ayanna C.

As I look back over 2015, I can't believe how quickly it has passed. Just like that the holiday festivities have ended. So as we enter a New Year, a new phase in life, I wanted to share some styling sessions that I have in my archives from 2015 over the next couple of weeks. The first beauty I'd like to showcase is Ayanna. I've had the opportunity to "mentor" her as she has matriculated through her journey of becoming a speech-language pathologist. Always feels great to give back.

This virtual styling session was fairly simple. I say virtual because I literally sent Ayanna and the photographer the idea I had in mind for her outfit, and she walked into a few stores and got all the right pieces.

As you can see, she effortlessly pulled off this simple, yet classic outfit. Although this might be more of a summer outfit in areas in which there are four seasons, tights instantly make summer pieces such as shorts versatile in the colder months (check out my post on wearing shorts in the winter here). With the unseasonably warm weather we have been having in the DMV, this outfit can easily still be worn even in December (with some tights of course).  Let's just say this is my tribute to the warm weather as the frigid air starts to settle.
