Prepped with Peplum
Peplum has recently bombarded the fashion scene. It can be used with a variety of shapes and figures. It is wonderful for the hourglass, inverted triangle shape (http://alexandrastylist.com/peplum-trend; for more on body shapes see: http://sharlendipity.com/2013/01/whats-your-type/) and straighter figures, giving the illusion of fuller hips. Some reason that peplum can also hide a fuller middle and give the appearance of a smaller waist (http://www.oprah.com/style/How-to-Wear-a-Peplum-Tips-for-Wearing-a-Peplum/2).
This post features a peplum dress with vintage print that I found while thrifting with my sister. I remember us scrolling through dresses and saying, "go back"! She immediately said, "Yep, this looks like you". Definitely a bargain! Here this peplum dress is paired with simple suede pumps and a black clutch. Hope you enjoy!
